We’re all moved. In the process of getting everything settled. We start at Cisco on Thursday. North Carolina is so green and we love our beautiful new apartment! Also I baked a pie (my first! Peach!) with local peaches. The produce at the farmers market is awesome. Love it here so far!

So I haven’t posted anything in forever but…

I think everyone knows this? I don’t know. I think they do. So I’m moving to the RTP area of North Carolina at the end of this month for a 7 month internship with Cisco.  I’m pretty excited. I’m also pretty excited that I get a break from classes (just got a 56% on a final, after a 10% curve). I also hate moving. I’m doing it voluntarily, but it’s like the least fun thing that you kind of want to do. We didn’t get to see the apartment in person, but it looks awesome (corner balcony! I’m getting an herb garden! and tomatoes!) and it’s a 4 minute drive to work. May 31st is our official move in day. I don’t want to pack.

Heidi the rabbit!

Heidi has arthritis in her knees and hips so to help with the pain, she swims a few times a week!

Sometimes she wears a scrunchie on her ears so that they don’t get wet!

The … the ear scrunchie.

In recent years, biologists have recognized that birds engage in play. Juvenile Common Ravens are among the most playful of bird species. They have been observed to slide down snowbanks, apparently purely for fun. They even engage in games with other species, such as playing catch-me-if-you-can with wolves, otters and dogs.[77] Common Ravens are known for spectacular aerobatic displays, such as flying in loops or interlocking talons with each other in flight.[78][79]

They are also one of only a few wild animals who make their own toys. They have been observed breaking off twigs to play with socially.

Quoth the Raven, “WHEEEEEEE!!!”

“Engage in play”

I wasn’t going to reblog this until “quote the raven. ‘WEEEE’” balls I’m laughing too hard at this.

I fucking love birds.

Reid!
